Wonderful Ethiopian restaurant tucked away in a neighborhood. After walking in, I was greeted by customers and staff; everyone was gracious and kind. They offer vegetarian and meat options, and having tried both in the mixed plate, they are delicious. The shiro and firfir were my favorites. Everything was well spiced, with a delicious flavor. The injera was light and soft. While the food took a while to arrive, it was worth the wait and they have a nice offering of Ethiopian beers to enjoy in the meantime. My only critique is that some of the entrees were on the cold side (there things can take days to make, so reheating is not unusual). Overall, I would go back and I did enjoy the food and atmosphere.
It was a late night tonight and we were hungry and discovered that this place was open for delivery. The food arrived and as we started eating. We were mind-blown and how delicious it was. Specifically the collard greens!!! How is this food so good within a few miles for me and I was unaware? I will definitely come here again.
My wife and I knew nothing about Ethiopian food. One fine Monday afternoon, we found this place on Google and placed a completely random lunch order for a meat + veg combo. The food was absolutely amazing! Loved the flavour profile. Highly recommend Massawa.
