A halal sign is clearly visible on the premises of this market.
It was our first time here today. I have been wanting to try this place based on the pictures and reviews. They have a cute little outdoor patio in a nice area that feels safe. We got an appetizer sampler so it had a good variety. The hummus is probably the best hummus I've ever had in my life. The super soft pita bread is one of the best as well. I didn't care for the stuffed grape leaves. The falafel was good and the taziki was awesome. We shared gyro and it was plenty big enough for two people to share. Our server was friendly and I believe one of the others came out and was pouring water with lemon and she was super nice and thanked us for coming. We had rice pudding for dessert and it had pistachios and rose petals on top. Super yummy. I definitely would love to come back to you try more things. Highly recommend. There is street parking as well on a meter and it was only $1.55 for 2 hours.
Loved the rice so much. These are flavors that I rarely have a chance to taste. Tabouleh was the real deal, packed with flavor. The chicken shawarma was just ok compared to the rest. The knafeh for dessert was a real treat and I've never had anything like it before. My server was very attentive and friendly. The decor was nothing too impressive. They were playing music that, to an untrained person in Lebanese music like myself, helped with the atmosphere.
Great place, the food the people the vibes the bazaar the patio the fountain, the baklava, it’s more than just a restaurant!
First when we walked in, we were greeted with happy smiles of Madeline and the staff, it was busy, she was so kind so informative and shared with us a little about the place and food, there are seven or eight ladies with the owners from Lebanon, Syria and Jordan they prepare the food in there, honestly the best Lebanese food, home style, hard to find dishes, and hard to find them made the very right way with high quality ingredients that you can tell from the first bite.
We ordered the Baba Ghanoush, was so delicious and rich with Tahini and lemon, the very right way, the Pita was soft, pillowy and hot, the Falafel was the best I’ve tried in the states, the Hummus is divine, the Saffron basmati rice was just made right, the Baklava selection they have we couldn’t find it anywhere in the states, Great job for the best quality and real Lebanese experience, will definitely be back with more friends.
Great gem tucked away in downtown Spokane. Stuffed grape leaves w tzatziki, chicken shawarma, chicken and lamb platters— they were all amazing. The vimto sparkling drink tastes a bit like strawberry Fanta if anyone is curious. Next time I will have to try the ful dip with pita and baba ghanouj. 5/5
Amazing food that has super tasty spices, air conditioned seating indoors and a nice shaded patio outside.
Got the baklava and chicken shawarma wrap, would recommend both!
